Rental Cars Going Fast!

We’ve been noticing that rental cars in Hawaii are selling out fast. If you’re in the islands and debating about renting a car or if you’re planning on visiting soon, go ahead and make that booking before it’s too late. Public transportation is great here, but not for a family of four. Not to mention they don't do tours, they're all about point A to point B. Having your own transportation while on the island can be key to a relaxing vacation.

3rd Friday in Makawao

Don't forget tomorrow night is 3rd Friday up country in Makawao. There's not a lot of parking so I would recommend either getting there a little early, or making a small party out of it by carpooling. Lots of food and fun to be enjoyed by all ages. See you there!

2nd Friday

Don't forget tonight is 2nd Friday in Lahaina. There are many, many activities going on from concerts featuring local artists like Willie K, Uncle Lui Williams and Bob Jones and the Drive to art specials at almost all of the art galleries.

Personally I would recommend checking out Bob Jones and the Drive. They will be at Captain Jack's Island Grill from 8:00 to 10:30. Great rock and blues music from these guys. I heard them do a version of Otis Redding's "Cigarettes and Coffee" and it was pretty amazing.

Live music from 6:00 to 10:30, art galore, all the food you can stand, and not to mention the typical goings on that you can find on Front Street! Friday Nights in Maui are definitely not to be missed.

Good Music on Maui

Maui is obviously known for its miles of beautiful coastline, but it’s also know for it’s musicians. There are many talented musicians that call Maui home and we are fortunate to have one of the most amazing places for concerts whether indoors or outdoors. Friday January 18, an Oregon based artist by the name of Mat Kearney will be adding his own style of hip-hop grooves coupled with folk guitar to Maui’s eclectic collection of visiting musicians. Here's a sample of what to expect.  Tickets are available online for $20.00 or $25.00 at the door. The show is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. See you there!
